Preparation†

Remove any mildew stains with bleach and water solution or similar commercially available mildew remover, then rinse.

Scuff sand glossy surfaces.

Remove loose paint and wash off any dirt or grease with a non-soapy detergent such as trisodium phosphate (TSP).

Make sure that there are no active water problems and that any previous water damage is fully dry. KILZ® ORIGINAL, KILZ COMPLETE® or KILZ ODORLESS® Primer is recommended for blocking severe stains.
Application
-
Use only when temperatures are between 50°F (10°C) and 90°F (32˚C).

Stir paint prior to use.
-
Coverage varies by porosity. Coverage will be approximately 250 square feet per gallon on porous surfaces; up to 400 square feet per gallon on smooth, nonporous surfaces.

Use quality Nylon/Polyester brush and 3/8" - 1/2" nap quality roller depending on surface texture.

Multiple coats may be required for complete hide.
Dry Time
-
Color indicator will fade to white in under 1 hour.

Dries to the touch in 1 hour at 77°F (25°C) and 50% humidity.

Recoat as needed after 2 hours, for maximum stainblocking, recoat after 4 hours.
Clean-Up & Disposal

Use soap and water to clean hands, tools and spills.

Do not dispose of this product down a drain. Please consider donating any unused product. For recycling or disposal information contact your local household refuse collection service.

Eye protection is recommended.

Only apply if surface, air and product temperatures are between 50°-90°F (10°-32°C).

Stir thoroughly before and occasionally during use.

For one year from the date of purchase, Masterchem Industries LLC warrants to the original residential consumer purchaser (1) that the product meets Masterchem Industries LLC’s manufacturing specifications, and (2) the performance of this product when applied according to the label instructions and specifications. This warranty excludes (1) labor and costs of labor for the application or removal of any product, and (2) any incidental or consequential damages, whether based on breach of express or implied warranty, negligence, strict liability or any other legal theory. HARMFUL IF SWALLOWED. CONTAINS: ETHYLENE GLYCOL. MAY CAUSE EYE, NOSE AND THROAT IRRITATION.AVOID CONTACT WITH SKIN AND EYES AND AVOID BREATHING OF VAPORS AND SPRAY MIST. WEAR EYE PROTECTION AND PROTECTIVE CLOTHING. USE ONLY WITH ADEQUATE VENTILATION. To avoid breathing vapors and spray mist, open windows and doors or use other means to ensure fresh air entry during application and drying. If you experience eye watering, headaches or dizziness, increase fresh air and use a properly fitted respirator (NIOSH approved for zorganic vapor with P Series particulate prefilter). Obtain professional advice before using. A dust mask does not provide protection against vapors. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Wash thoroughly after handling. Close container after each use.
First Aid
- If you experience difficulty in breathing, leave the area to obtain fresh air. If continued difficulty is experienced, get medical assistance immediately.
- In case of eye contact, flush immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and get medical attention.
- For skin, wash thoroughly with soap and water.
- If swallowed, get medical attention immediately.
