Furniture Dealer Information & FAQs
In order to become a Magnolia Home Authorized Paint Dealer, you must be an Authorized Magnolia Furniture Dealer. If you are included in our current list of Authorized Furniture Dealers we will accept your application. If we are not able to confirm your approval as an Authorized Furniture Dealer, we will ask you to provide some verification such as a copy of your furniture order or a letter from Standard Furniture indicating your authorization.
Once your application is approved and our credit department has verified your credit limit/open account status, we will send you a copy of our Magnolia Paint Dealer Agreement for your review and execution. Once that is signed and returned to us, we will begin accepting orders from you.
Our standard opening order for paint along with a merchandising package will be shipped initially. You will be able to place your initial order and all re-orders online using our web based ordering portal. The initial order cost is approximately $2,419.60 plus any applicable tax. Your initial order will ship freight pre-paid.
Will I have a protected territory?
We do not assign geographic sales territories but rather align with your Magnolia Furniture trade area. All Magnolia paint can only be sold through your authorized retail locations, no online sales are permitted.
How do I fill out a credit app?
We will refer you to our credit department upon completion of the new account application.
What are the terms?
Net 30 from date of invoice.

Do I have a rep?
We don’t have outside sales reps for Magnolia Paint; however we can provide service through our outstanding customer care team, who can be reached at 1-800-325-3552 ext 2016 or 2015.
What is my credit limit?
This is determined on a case by case basis.
What is the minimun opening order?
To get started in the paint business, your investment will be approximately $2,419.60 for inventory and a required merchandising package which includes a permanent color display for your showroom.
What are the warehousing guideline?
Paint needs to be kept out of freeze-thaw situations.
What do I do if someone wants to return something?
All sales are final. If you believe you have damaged or defective product, please contact our customer care team at 1-866-275-5459.
Can I order more colors than the 12 colors in the Furniture Dealer Program?
For now, Joanna’s hand selected palettes of 12 colors are the only colors available in the Furniture Dealer Program along with the 2 colors offered in Trim and Cabinetry paint.
How long does it take to get my order?
We expect to make our initial shipments approximately August 1st. Normal order processsing time is 3-5 days for future orders.
How will it be delivered?
Depending on your area and the size of your shipment, your order will be delivered either via common carrier or by one of our delivery trucks.
How should I display the paint?
Once you are an approved dealer, details will be provided about merchandising requirements. The Magnolia Home Furnishings Farm House Buffet and Hutch in white should be ordered to accommodate paint inventory and merchandising. A complete POP packaging will ship with your opening order.
Do I get an opening order discount?
We are pleased to provide the highest level of service for Joanna’s line and offer competitive pricing on our super-premium paint. Therefore, the best pricing we can offer is reflected in your price schedule, which you will receive once you become an approved dealer.
Do I get a showroom discount for paint going in vignettes?
In addition to your opening order, you may order additional paint for your showroom needs at the same wholesale cost and it will ship freight pre-paid.
Can I sell other KILZ products?
At this time, the program is for Magnolia products only.
This product is settling – what do I do?
It is completely normal for paint to settle and needs to be adequately stirred prior to use in order to provide consumers with the best experience. Stir sticks will be provided with each order.
Are you giving me paint stir sticks for people?
As part of your order, you will receive 1 stir stick for each gallon and quart. Samples do not recieve stir sticks as they can be easily shaken by hand.
Is there any signage?
A complete Point of Purchase package will be shipped to you with your opening order and is designed to fit in the Magnolia Home Furnishings Farm House Buffet and Hutch.
What is the suggested retail price?
List prices range from $8 to $60. You will be provided with a complete price sheet upon completion of our new dealer application process.
How do I place a reorder?
An online order entry portal will be available for you to place inventory orders.
Is there something I can add to my website that says I’m a Joanna Gaines paint dealer?
Once you become an authorized Magnolia Home paint dealer, we will provide you with branding guidelines and assets for limited use.
Will this paint be on KILZ.com?
At this time, the paint will not be sold on KILZ.com and will be offered online at MagnoliaMarket.com.
Can I add paint to my online store?
At this time, the furniture dealer program is for retail only and does not include an online component for eCommerce.
Where do I get the Planogram for which colors to put in my furniture gallery?
Once you become an authorized Magnolia Home paint dealer, we will provide you branding guidelines including paint instructions for each vignette.
Can I pay with a credit card?
Once you have established an account, payments can be processed with Visa/Mastercard or American Express.
How long will my credit application take to complete?
We will begin processing your information immediately, upon receipt of complete, signed application. Processing time may vary.

Is there a discount if I pay with cash/wire transfer?
At this time we do not offer any payment discounts. We do accept wire transfer; please contact AccountsReceivable@mascocoatings.com to make arrangements once your account is established.
What are the payment instructions?
This information will be provided in your On Boarding kit once you are an authorized Magnolia Home Paint dealer.
What type of guarantee do you make with this product?
Our product has a lifetime limited warranty. Call 1-866-275-5459 for more information.
Can I run a promotion and give the paint away for free when I sell a furniture vignette?
We do not control your retail selling prices or in-store promotional activity. You are required to follow our published terms and conditions and all policies which can be viewed at KILZ.com/kilzmagnoliapaint.
What type of margin can I expect?
The Magnolia Home paint program is designed to put non-tranditional retailers in the paint business without the need to invest in expensive tinting equipment and additional staff. Our pre-mixed program absorbs much of the labor and equipment costs into our pricing so you can provide full service to your customers and sell them a complete look in one stop. Your margins will be determinded by your selling price which we do not control.
How much paint do you recommend I order to start with?
Our opening order is designed to easily get you started and comes in a preselected assortment. Each store front requiers one opening order which is approximately 48 gallons of eggshell, 12 quarts of Semi-Gloss, and 72 samples in Joanna’s hand selected palette of 12 colors.

If customers want more than I have on hand, how do I get them an order and how quickly will they receive it?
We recommend always having project quantities on hand based on your sales volume of Magnolia Home furniture. Reorders can be processed in an average of 3-5 days.
How long is the product shelf stable for?
This product is shelf-stable for 2 years unopened.
Is there a volume discount if I am a large, multi-store dealer?
At this time, the first phase of Furnishings Dealer Program reflects all discounts.
When will this program be ready?
This program launched Summer of 2016 and initial orders are currently shipping.
